Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle of Zamfara started disbursing N10,000 cash to the state’s needy and vulnerable people on Wednesday.

Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle of Zamfara started disbursing N10,000 cash to the state’s needy and vulnerable people on Wednesday.
According to Matawalle, the scheme, which is run by the Zamfara Poverty Alleviation Agency (ZAPA), is intended for one million people.
The governor, who was represented by Alhaji Musa Bawa-Musa, Deputy Speaker of the Zamfara State House of Assembly, said the scheme aims to reduce unemployment and poverty.
Ubaidullahi Yahaya-Kaura, the agency’s Director-General, said the cash transfer benefited people with special needs, small-scale traders, widows, and orphans.
